About

What I do

I work one-on-one with athletic individuals to prevent injury, increase performance and achieve fullest fitness potential. I do this through customized yoga, breath-work and meditation. I take my clients from feeling frustrated and discouraged, to feeling empowered and inspired in what their bodies can do.

Why I do it

The human body, in all its complexity, has always fascinated me. Through my years of bedside nursing, I have seen people pull through against all odds, and times when the body has just had enough. I became very aware of many devastating health complications and illnesses that were exacerbated by, or the result of, modifiable lifestyle factors. This frustrated me. In this busy, developed world so many people are naive to the definition of health and the projected effects of having a sedentary and unhealthy lifestyle.

Health and fitness have always been an integral part of my life. However,  my experience and knowledge of caring for those in critical health situations emphasized my passion to prevent illness and injury through holistic health. Overtime, I became more in tune and aware of a whole other slew of preventable injuries that frequently occur from physical imbalances. Even while providing your body with a solid foundation, overuse injuries can de-rail you from optimal health.

I experienced frustration from injuries that occurred from muscle imbalance, overuse, and tightness. It wasn’t until I consistently incorporated yoga into my fitness routine that I found a significant reduction of injuries from running. The extensive and powerful benefit that I acquired through yoga was life changing and something I had to share with others. I earned my yoga teacher certification and without hesitation started teaching at my local studio.

My true passion ignited when I began teaching one-on-one yoga lessons. Yoga provides endless tools for injury prevention, increasing performance and improving focus. Tailoring sessions to an individual’s needs provides profound benefit and unlocks fullest fitness potential for longevity. Here’s to Making Bodies Better, forever!
